Best Software Licensing and Maintenance Support

The survey respondents also ranked Symantec as the vendor with the best licensing and maintenance support, with 18.3 percent of the votes.

The report on the survey findings suggests that vendors need to offer various flexible pricing and licensing options to suit a variety of customer needs. As the security software market in the region is relatively young, users may need more support, so it is critical for vendors and their channel partners to provide a strong network of helpdesk and maintenance support.

Vendor Respondents Would Most Like to Do Business With

Symantec also topped the ranks of vendor respondents would most like to do business with, chosen by 15.5 percent.  The survey revealed that a good track record is the top consideration in choosing a security software vendor and customers prefer vendors with an established physical presence and maintenance and support networks in the region.

"As the security software market in Asia Pacific continues to grow, Symantec's commitment to the region and reputation as an innovator, with strong licensing and maintenance support will stand the company in good stead as we continue to help our customers secure and protect their businesses," continued Robbins.
