Wind turbine maker Suzlon Energy said its arm REpower Systems won 151 mega watt in new orders worldwide in the October-January period.
These cover firm orders secured between Oct 22-Jan 18 across Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, UK, and the USA, and exclude orders announced separately, it said.
"These orders clearly underscore the continuing momentum in the wind market worldwide, particularly in developed markets in Europe and North America, which REpower is focusing on," Andreas Nauen, CEO, REpower Systems, said in a statement.
Nauen expects this growth will continue in 2012.
Suzlon shares were up 2% at Rs 22.60 on NSE in morning trade on Wednesday.
