Broadcaster Sun TV Network Ltd said on Tuesday it plans to raise advertisement rates for some of its channels from Jan. 1, 2010.
The south India-based company will raise rates by 9% to 33% in its flagship Tamil language channel, Sun TV, and will effect a raise in rates for all its other Tamil channels too, it said in a statement to the stock exchanges.
Sun TV will also announce a change in advertisement rates for its other regional channels -- Gemini, Udaya and Surya -- within a fortnight.
