There's a new pharma battle brewing. Sun Pharma citing trademark violations by Zydus Cadila has got an ex parte injunction from the Madras High Court against the sale of Zydus Cadila's anti-depressant drug Venz, reports CNBC-TV18's Divya Rajagopal.

Sun Pharmaceutical's has dragged Zydus Cadila for trademark violation of Sun Pharma's anti-depressant named Veniz. Zydus Cadila has launched a similar anti-depressant drug by the name of Venz. The Madras High Court has ordered an ex parte interim injunction against Zydus Cadila and has ordered that Zydus Cadila cannot sell its anti-depressant drug Venz till the time it is sorted out.
Sun Pharma has been selling Veniz over the last 10 years and is one of the major contributors for Sun Pharma's business. The next hearing will take place some time during the next week.
