Granules up 5% after Gagillapur unit completes USFDA inspection

Granules India shares gained 4.7 percent intraday Monday after the US health regulator completed inspection of company's Hyderabad-based plant.

Granules India shares gained 4.7 percent intraday Monday after the US health regulator completed inspection of company's Hyderabad-based plant.


"Gagillapur facility located at Hyderabad, Telangana, India has successfully completed USFDA inspection without any observations," the pharma company said in its filing.


This facility, which manufactures finished dosages and pharmaceutical formulation intermediates, was last inspected in March 2015.


Granules has around 5 domestic facilities.


In May 2016, it had received establishment inspection report from the US Food and Drug Administration for the Jeedimetla facility that had completed inspection in December 2015.

Meanwhile, Granules says on October 25, it will announce its un-audited financial results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2016 and the payment of second interim dividend for the FY17, if any.
 
At 10:21 hours IST, the scrip of Granules India was quoting at Rs 123.55, up Rs 3.55, or 2.96 percent on the BSE.
