Bandyopadhyay told CNBC-TV18, "The Indian markets as we have seen for some time is been driven by liquidity and that also global liquidity; consistently FIIs have been buying, have been the net buyers whereas domestic institutions have been the net sellers. So under the circumstances we will have to stick to the favourites of the FIIs and we will have to play the market accordingly if you have to benefit from the market."
He further added, "I will love to buy the two-wheeler majors; Bajaj Auto as well as Hero Motocorp. I will also probably go and buy a power company like NTPC and maybe on the FMCG side I can increase my holding in HUL. On the pharma side I will be very cautious, I will not like to buy frontline pharma; I can look at buying midcap pharma of course."
