Auto component firm Steel Strips Wheels' net sales in March rose 21% year-on-year to Rs 91.80 crore. Its net sales had risen 34% from a year ago in February.
Auto component firm Steel Strips Wheels ' net sales in March rose 21% year-on-year to Rs 91.80 crore. Its net sales had risen 34% from a year ago in February. The company on Tuesday said it sold 9.16 lakh wheel rims in March, up about 0.7% from a year ago, with truck wheel rim sales highest ever in a month. Steel Strips Wheels' exports jumped near 41% year-on-year to 1,10,064 wheel rims in March. The company supplies wheel rims to several top auto makers in India and overseas markets. Last month it had announced a deal to supply wheel rims for luxury car maker Audi's A6 platform. Steel Strips Wheels had said it expected to start supplies to Audi in 2012-13, and sees potential to earn export sales of euro 20.28 million (about Rs 137 crore) over a four year period. The company's stock was up 2.9% at Rs 221.95 on NSE in morning trade.
