SpiceJet, India's favourite airline, announced the expansion of its existing network to new destinations. SpiceJet, from Ahmedabad will now fly to Goa and Chennai starting 25th October 2006 with an additional flight to Mumbai. The airline also unveiled its plans to connect the city of Ahmedabad to Jaipur, Kolkata, Pune and Hyderabad by December 2006 with the induction of the 10th aircraft to the fleet. SpiceJet has recently added two new-generations Boeing 737 - 800 aircraft to its existing fleet of six aircrafts making it one of the fastest growing airlines in the country. Details - New Sectors
Announcing the expansion plan, Mr. Siddhanta Sharma, CEO SpiceJet said, "Ahmedabad is a special city for us. We commenced our operations in India from this city in May 2005. The overwhelming success of our flights from the city of Ahmedabad has encouraged us to start the two new destinations. We are confident that we will receive even better responses for the two new destinations.
