Pharma major Pfizer has said that a Spanish court has upheld one of the patents of Lipitor - the Enantiomer patent against Indian pharma major and generic manufacturer Ranbaxy .

Ranbaxy has said that they will appeal against the ruling. The Lipitor battle is being fought in 10 countries. Lipitor is Pfizer's cholesterol-lowering drug and its global sales amount to USD 12 billion.
