Government of Singapore Investment Corp has invested USD 100 million for a minority stake in India's Vasan Health Care Pvt Ltd.

The investment will help Vasan expand its network that consists of 102 eye care hospitals and 14 dental treatment centres, the Indian company said on Wednesday.

GIC is Singapore's main sovereign wealth fund and manages an estimated USD 300 billion in assets. It also has a stake in Fortis Healthcare .

On August 22, 2014, Fortis Healthcare closed at Rs 119.80, down Rs 0.35, or 0.29 percent. The 52-week high of the share was Rs 127.70 and the 52-week low was Rs 93.10.


The company's trailing 12-month (TTM) EPS was at Rs 0.09 per share as per the quarter ended June 2014. The stock's price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio was 1331.11. The latest book value of the company is Rs 70.92 per share. At current value, the price-to-book value of the company is 1.69.
