Amenities especially designed for the airline by French fashion house Givenchy will welcome passengers on board the Boeing 777-300 Extended Range aircraft, which are scheduled to begin operations later this year.
A similar experience will also be available on the now-delayed Airbus A-380 aircraft, expected to join the airline fleet in October next year.
New look
The new designer items include bedding items such as larger cushions and down-filled pillows for the premium cabins and new blankets for the economy class. While first-class flyers will enjoy more luxury in the form of Givenchy sleeper suits, those in economy can sink into seat covers designed by the French fashion house. Similarly, business class passengers can enjoy light duvets and blankets especially designed by Givenchy, in what airline officials claim to be the widest seat.
"It would be 50 per cent wider that the British Airways seat and 12 per cent wider than the existing flat bed," said the airlines senior Executive Vice-President, Operations and Services, Mr Bey Soo Khiang.
