Shaadi.com – The World’s Largest Matrimonial portal, part of the Anupam Mittal led People Group, repeated its winning performance by being adjudged the ‘Best Matrimonial Website’. Shaadi.com had won the same honour in PC World Web Awards 2007 too. Shaadi.com outclassed other matrimonial websites with its superior design and usability and held on to the top position for being simple yet innovative. The results were declared after an exhaustive and extensive research that was conducted by PC World Communications Inc.
Commenting on this recognition, Mr. Anupam Mittal, CMD, People Group said, "We are indeed honoured to be conferred with the prestigious PC World Web Award 2008. Winning the award for the second time reinsures our belief in being committed to delivering superior customer service with unique site features that customers find helpful and easy to use and it gives us immense happiness that PC World Communications Inc. has recognized our efforts with this award. It is a pleasure to win once, but a privilege to win it twice.”
Shaadi.com has managed to hold onto the top position beating competition from other matrimonial websites. With features like ‘search by profession’, ‘AstroSoul-Mate Match’ and 'chat’ Shaadi.com emerged a cut above the rest at the PC World Web Awards 2008.
PC World evaluated the best on the web using parameters like design & usability, technology & navigation and user evaluation to sift the best from the top players. To make the selection top-notch, an independent jury of 13 members was also called to give their expert advice.
This year the winners have been announced in 33 categories out of a list of 500 websites.
