Sunil Hi-Tech Engineers, a company that services portions of Balance of plant contracts to thermal power plants is set to emerge as a full-fledged BoP player. The company is capable of executing contracts up to 500 MW power plants.

In an interview with CNBC-TV18, Sunil Gutte, Whole-time Director, Sunil Hi-Tech Engineers Ltd spoke about the order book position and the business plans of the company.

Q: We understand that you are diversifying from your current stream of business and getting into whole time balance of plant (BOP) contracts for thermal power plants. Could you tell us of your current order book of Rs 2000 crore?

A: We are majorly into thermal power plant business. We complete the Rs 2000 crore order pending as of January 2010 is 100% from power plants like thermal power plant business only and the recent development that had come forward is the balance of plant qualification by winning Mahagenco's 250 MW, balance of plant EPC contract which we were trying for last one year and it's a Rs 488 crore contract to be completed within 24 months.
