Satyam customers approach Infotech
Infotech Enterprises Ltd, a leading engineering design services and GIS player in India, has admitted that a few customers of Satyam Computer Services had approached it. According to Mr B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director, all these enquiries are related to the services areas where Infotech is strong.
Infotech Enterprises Ltd , a leading engineering design services and GIS player in India, has admitted that a few customers of Satyam Computer Services had approached it. According to Mr B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director, all these enquiries are related to the services areas where Infotech is strong. "There is a good probability that we may consider those proposals when they approach us in these areas," he said.
He, however, added that there is a complex transition process when companies ended contracts and assign it to others. He refused to name the companies that approached Infotech. He has not divulged the status of the talks either.
There was already a global customer who assigned contracts in two different verticles to Satyam and Infotech as part of its de-risking policy. On buying into Satyam, he said there was no plan at all in that direction. According to him, class action suits filed in the US (against Satyam) were very complex.
