Satyam board approaches clients to infuse confidence

The new board of Satyam is also going all out to restore the confidence of employees and clients.

 

Here is a verbatim transcript of Divya Rajagopal's comments on CNBC-TV18. Also watch the accompanying video.

 

Sources close to Satyam have informed us that a formal announcement on the salaries of employees will be coming by today. We also understand that the board is going all the way out to approach the clients and infuse some confidence in them.

 

We understand Unilever Europe, which is one of Satyam's biggest clients, has asked for updates on the strategic developments those are happening within Satyam. Nissan, which is also one of the biggest clients of Satyam, has said that they have no reason to discontinue with Satyam but however they want up-to-date updates on the happenings in the company.

 

Secondly, Satyam is still going ahead and pitching with clients. We understand that they have pitched for around half a million dollar of contracts with Sony and the developments of it will take place in the next few days. We also understand that the options for the employees to sell their stock options - the clarity of it will come in few days probably once they get a clarification from the company secretary.
