Gulf Oil Corporation Limited, a Hinduja Group company has successfully implemented SAP ERP, in its quest to restructure its business processes and improve its operational efficiencies. Gulf Oil is a Hyderabad based global player in the diverse business areas such as industrial explosives, mining products and services, infrastructure, lubricants, specialty oils and chemicals, active pharma ingredients (bulk drugs) and pharma formulations. Gulf Oil has deployed SAP ERP to automate, streamline and increase operational efficiency in its various lines of businesses namely: industrial explosives, specialty chemicals & APIs / pharmaceuticals, infrastructure and mining services. Gulf Oil has achieved this ‘Go Live’, in a short span of 4 months. SAP ERP was chosen over other solution providers due to SAP ERP industry specific experience, expertise and dynamic implementation partners.
Speaking on the occasion, Subhas Pramanik, Managing Director, Gulf Oil said, “Since we have 4 Divisions operating in diverse industrial segments and our growth for the past 3 years is at an average CAGR of 20%, we needed to significantly trim down the complexity of processes, increase the efficiency of MIS and reduce the operational costs. We chose SAP for its integration capabilities and its proven track record. We had embarked on a challenging task of implementing SAP in 3 out of 4 different lines of businesses within a strict time schedule and I am extremely glad that we have been able to achieve this ‘Go-Live’ within the target date. The SAP implementation is expected to assist Gulf Oil Corporation to seamlessly integrate its various businesses and provide improved visibility across the enterprise, resulting in control over operations and quick access to real time information across its various locations and businesses.

SAP targets aggressive growth across segments in Andhra Pradesh; achieves more than 100 customer partnerships in Andhra Pradesh
