SAIL seeks govt's help for coal blocks

Steel Authority of India ( SAIL ) has sought the coal ministry's intervention in its hunt for coal blocks., reports CNBC-TV18 quoting sources. It is learnt that SAIL wants around 2-3 blocks of coking and thermal coal.


The company wants the ministry to allot coal blocks via government dispensation route.

Sail says that it needs the coal blocks to implement its capacity expansion plans..
