"We plan to leverage our existing corporate relationships at Whitefield for this property," said Mr Baljee.

He added that the company's projects were on and were fully funded.

Under construction are a 104-room four-star hotel at Ahmedabad; 206-room five-star property at Hyderabad - which will also have a 90-room serviced apartment; a resort at Goa; 160-room five-star hotel at Jaipur; and 180-room four-star hotel at Mumbai.

"In all, about 1,000 hotel rooms are under development. We are also in discussion with developers for management contracts. We would announce some of them shortly," said Mr Keshav Baljee, Vice-President-Corporate Affairs, Royal Orchid Hotels.
