Moneycontrol Bureau Printer and book exporter Repro India is seeking to expand its operations in Africa to cash in on the growth opportunities in that continent, and is open to buying or tying up with local companies for the same. Over half of Repro India's revenue comes from exports, and Africa already accounts for a major share. It has a strong presence in Nigeria, Ghana, east Africa and Southern Africa. "A large part of revenue is coming from Africa. Today all of Africa books are being produced in India and shipped across. If we are able to set up something locally in one of the countries in Africa, that would improve our lead time for delivery," Pramod Khera, Executive Director, Repro India told moneycontrol.com. Khera said the company could look at partnering with local companies or take the acquisition route to expand in Africa, but nothing is on the horizon right now. Repro India, which acquired printing operations of Macmillan Publishers India in July this year, saw revenue grow 20% year-on-year to Rs 150 crore in the first half of this fiscal and it expects to maintain a similar growth ahead.
