Renault-M&M JV makes big plans for Logan
French carmaker Renault is still a few months away from launching its first car in India, the Logan. But it is already discussing future products with joint-venture partner, Mahindra & Mahindra, reports CNBC-TV18.
French carmaker Renault is still a few months away from launching its first car in India, the Logan. But it is already discussing future products with joint-venture partner, Mahindra & Mahindra , reports CNBC-TV18.
The estate model of the Logan, unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, is the first of five Logan derivatives that will roll out by 2009.
"This car may have a future in India, who knows?," said Patrick Pelata, EVP-Product and Strategic Planning, Renault.
Renault and Mahindra are studying possibilities of launching Logan derivatives in India, which may include a hatchback version. The joint venture will be an export hub for Right Hand Drive markets like South Africa, where Mahindra is present.
