Reliance Communications today launched Mobile Radio service on its phones. Mobile Radio service is available to both post paid & pre paid subscribers of Reliance Mobile, Reliance Hello and postpaid Reliance landline subscribers. Hence, all Reliance mobile customers regardless of the type of mobile phone can now avail Mobile Radio service across the country. Customers can access the service by dialing 51234777. Mobile Radio is available in eight Indian languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, Gujarati and Punjabi to name a few. Reliance Communications today launched Mobile Radio service for all its mobile customers.
Speaking after the launch Mr. Mahesh Prasad, President, Applications, Solutions and Content Group, Reliance Communications said: "Reliance Communications has always been at the forefront to drive mass adoption of Value Added Services in India. Now with the launch of the Mobile Radio service, the fundamental barrier between a mobile & a radio has been bridged. Effectively every phone becomes an "FM like" Radio Phone for those who have missed out on buying and FM enabled phone. Shortly we will be also be providing access to regional content similar to various radio stations that are popular across Indian cities." he added.
While built-in FM Radio capability on mobile phone is just making in-roads in the Indian market, with this service customers who bought mobile phones as early as 2003 can enjoy this service.
