RCom ties up with Sulekha.com

Reliance Communications today announced its strategic tie-up with Sulekha.com , the leading online social networking and  local  commerce  website  for Indians worldwide. This association will help Reliance Mobile customers to carry out a city-specific search, powered by  Sulekha.com. Reliance Mobile World (R World) is offering the new Sulekha Local Search option on its mobile phones.

The  tie-up  will  also provide Reliance Mobile phones subscribers with the option  of downloading the city-specific details onto their mobile handsets and  further  share  information  with other users. Aimed at increasing the functionality  of  the  mobile phones, the search option will appeal to the customers’  varied  needs  and interests. With Sulekha.com access to over a million   listings   across   seven  cities,  customers’  access  to  local information will be highly enhanced.

The  service  available  on  all Reliance Mobile World enabled handsets and costs  @ Rs 3 per search. Reliance Mobile users have to click on CitySearch in  Reliance  Mobile  World  to  glean information pertaining to a specific city- Reliance Mobile World>Hot n New>> Search. This is essentially the mobile extension of the Yellow pages section of the popular website Sulekha.com

The  Sulekha.com  application  is aimed at the customers who wish to search for  business  listings in eight cities with complete address and telephone number  using  their  Reliance  mobile handsets. Customers have just has to enter a few details and would get the information on mobile phones.

Currently,  the  search results are limited to 8 cities viz (Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata,  Chennai,  Pune,  Ahmedabad,  Bangalore  and  Hyderabad)  and more locations  will  be  added.  This application further enriches the existing portfolio  of  search  products viz ‘Content search’ which allows a user to search for Reliance Mobile World content.
