Avient Solutions, an IBS Group company based in the United Kingdom, has signed an agreement with RAK Airways to deploy TopAir, a flight operations system. RAK Airways, the national airline of Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates, becomes the first customer for TopAir in the Middle East. RAK Airways chose TopAir for its optimum fit, short implementation time and flexible features.

TopAir is an integrated solution that automates airline operations including flight scheduling, fleet planning, crew management, flight operations, fuel management, catering management, aircraft checks planning and finance control activities. The system provides real-time information across various departments in the airline, and makes operations easier for scheduled, charter, low-cost and cargo airlines.

According to V K Mathews, CEO and Managing Director IBS Group,  "We are focused on developing a market for TopAir in the Middle-East after our successes in North America and Asia. We are delighted to associate with RAK Airways as our first TopAir customer in the region. RAK Airways has a professional and industry knowledgeable management team, hence their choosing TopAir as the appropriate integrated system to meet their operational requirements, is an endorsement of our capabilities."

Capt. Jim Feeney, RAK Airways' Vice President Flight Operations said, "RAK Airways selected TopAir as it offers a full range of functionality in a user friendly package. As a start-up carrier, RAK Airways' flight operations department must be able to focus on the business of flying aircraft, supported by the operational system. TopAir will allow us to do this and we expect it to become an integral tool in our operation."
