Pune Chapters of IITBAA (IIT Bombay Alumni Association) & TiE (The IndUS Entrepreneurs). today announced the launch of Innovations 2007 exclusively sponsored by Persistent Systems.

Innovations 2007 is an opportunity innovators anywhere on the globe should not miss. This unique annual technology event gives the selected innovator a platform to present his creation before an invited audience and interact with them.  The event differentiator is its focus on ideas that are already in practice.

The event is being launched as a platform for innovators from anywhere in the world to pitch and exhibit for a select audience.  The innovators will present their creation, the process, its technical details, the domain, and the impact it has had on the market. The innovation may be a product, process, design, method or a business model. The domain may be any field - engineering, medical, bio-technical, IT, agricultural, financial and mass-impact social entrepreneurship.

The organizers have appointed a panel of experts from these various domains to review the nominations using a rigorous two tier selection process. The innovators will be provided a speaking slot and space for exhibiting the innovation for a nominal fee.  The single-track program for the event will start with a keynote address given by Dr. Gururaj "Desh" Deshpande a globally respected technology entrepreneur and visionary whose ideas have reshaped entire industries.  The all important 'India Perspective' on innovations will be given by none other than Arun Shourie to conclude the event.
