It is a shot in the arm for exports and imports. The prime ministers office has announced 24x7 customs operations across major airports and ports across the country.
The move will ease major constraints and facilitate trade services. The four airports that will have 24x7 customs operations are Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai.
The four ports are Chennai, Kolkata, Kandla and the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust in Mumbai.
