STAR India’s Mobile Entertainment division, announced their partnership with Cleartrip, one of India’s leading online travel portals, for its unique mobile service - PLUS. With this, PLUS users will get real-time access to travel-related information on their mobile devices. They will be able to access travel information, make air travel reservations at best rates and deals available and much more at a click on their mobile phones.
With this tie-up PLUS users get a host of options to select from to plan their travel with best available deals and offers. Cleartrip will help PLUS users to optimize their search results by giving out the best fares available on selected routes on selected dates.
Commenting on the tie-up, Sandeep Murthy CEO – Cleartrip.com said, “ With our new mantra of connecting and getting closer to customers, this is the perfect way forward. Through our tie up with PLUS, we connect with 200 million mobile users & give them real time access to the best domestic airfares and the facility to book their flights in four simple steps. The PLUS portal is designed to be a one-point gateway to the mobile internet, bringing to users a whole world of entertainment and information on their mobile phones. PLUS allows users to access content across Television, Sports, Movies and Music, services from its partners including – Banking, Travel, Yellow Pages, Info Search, News, and magazines such as Overdrive, T3, Chip, Better Interiors, AVMAX, The SUN – UK and others.
PLUS is available nationally to users of all major telecom operators and also as a pre-loaded application on Sony Ericsson’s Walkman and Cyber shot series phones, as part of a strategic tie up between STAR India and Sony Ericsson.
