PayMate, India’s leading wireless transactions company launched a unique mobile advertising medium that promises maximum bang for an advertisers buck. Travelguru.com, the first client in this pioneering initiative, will be able to reach their message, in the form of an advertisement, one-on-one to an extremely targeted and premium high-flier along with a SMS itinerary detailing their flight booking. MPG India (the media agency of the Havas group in India) will be the exclusive media partner to market this new media platform to advertisers
PayMate has recently partnered with Galileo to offer the free SMS itinerary service to travelers. Approximately 35% of all travelers who book their flight tickets on all domestic (full service) and international flights, in India through agents, travel companies and online portals will receive this free SMS within minutes of booking a ticket. The medium is expected to reach almost a million customer a month, which is far more than what any other targeted mobile advertising medium currently delivers.
Commenting on the launch of this new initiative, Ajay Adiseshann, MD and Founder, PayMate, says, ”Advertisers are always looking for avenues which can get them maximum targeted reach. Keeping this core thought in mind we are offering this space to them. In comparison to other forms of in-flight and airport advertising, this service promises to be far more cost effective to reach out to the high flier. The medium reach is national so it ensures that the advertisers communication is read by every customer and is not just a part of the ambience at a specific airport terminal in a particular city.“
Hari V. Krishnan, Vice President - Product & Marketing, Travelguru.com says”At Travelguru, we are always looking to provide the maximum value to customers who are interested in travel. Using this platform we will be able to target these customers on a one-on-one level with zero spill over and with customized, relevant message text. In addition there is the benefit of an ability to build in interactivity and response which helps us build deeper engagement with our customers.”
Anita Nayyar, CEO, MPG India says “We are very excited to partner with PayMate to bring this targeted and innovative new medium to advertisers. Mobile advertising is a potent marketing tool, and has immense potential as a one-to-one communication medium. In a targeted form, which is not a spam/ bulk push, the medium will come into its own and realize its full value.”
