We travel to three of the weirdest golf courses in Asia:  The highest golf course in the world in Ladakh, India; Merapi, in the shadow of an irritable Indonesian volcano but protected by a mythical mermaid; and Hornbill, a logged Malaysian rainforest that has been turned into an eco-friendly golf course.

Also inside tomorrow's Weekend Journal:

Sports: Last weekend's British Open was played at Royal Liverpool, a course that used to host lots of Opens but hasn't been used for 40 years. Why? It fell out of favor. Now it's hot again. We take a look at trends among golf-course aficionados and how and why courses win and lose popularity.

Fashion: A manager from British clothes maker Turnbull & Asser gives advice on how to make men's off-the-rack purchases look custom-made.

Plus: The recent Allen & Co. power summit in Sun Valley, Idaho, highlighted some common style miscues that executives make when choosing business-casual clothes.

Wine: Dorothy J. Gaiter and John Brecher taste white Burgundies.

Pursuits: Wildlife photographer Frans Lanting shares tips on how to take great vacation photos, the pros and cons of digital versus film and how to tell a story with images.

Personal technology: Loose Wire's Jeremy Wagstaff on how to back up your data. Your first line of defense: creating a disk image, a digital shapshot of everything on your hard drive.

Film: Japanese artist Takashi Murakami on animated films that have inspired him, from "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves" to "Howl's Moving Castle."

Plus: Why long movies are bad for theater owners and the movie business -- and unpopular with audiences.

Arbitrage: What a tub of Ben & Jerry's ice cream costs around the world.

Time off: A preview of shows, concerts, festivals and exhibitions that you can enjoy as you travel around the region in the coming week.

The Weekend Journal is a magazine-style supplement designed to be pulled out from the center of The Wall Street Journal Asia.
