Sun Pharma’s generic drugs business in the US received a shot in the arm, after Novartis dropped a patent infringement suit against it and Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc over its Alzheimers and dementia drug Exelon, reports Business Line.
Sun Pharma 's generic drugs business in the US received a shot in the arm, after Novartis dropped a patent infringement suit against it and Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc over its Alzheimers and dementia drug Exelon.
"Claims against the generic-drug companies were dismissed," said a news-agency report, citing a court document filed late last month at the federal court in New York.
The development comes a little more than a month after Sun Pharma got regulatory approval from the US Food and Drug Administration to sell Rivastigmine Tartrate, the generic version of Exelon. However, it is still unclear when the company will launch the product in the US following the latest development.
