As a part of Nokia 's strategy to bring location based services to larger consumer base, Nokia India today showcased its Navigation devices portfolio and future plans in this area. Nokia has a strong portfolio - from dedicated navigation products to extensive smart devices, covering different segments of consumers. Nokia currently has five devices with integrated GPS; the Nokia N95 and & N95 8GB, Nokia N82, the Nokia E90 Communicator and the Nokia 6110 Navigator. However, the total number of Nokia devices that support GPS is very large since all Nokia S60 and many Series 40 devices support GPS via a Bluetooth wireless module. Speaking at the occasion Mr. Devinder Kishore, Director Marketing Nokia India said, "With GPS and navigation services expanding rapidly into mobile communications devices, this industry is poised to grow. "Maps and navigation will become a standard feature in a number of Nokia mobile devices. We are committed to deliver great devices, combined with compelling experiences and services to our consumers," he added. Nokia is the world's largest mobile device manufacturer with more than 900 million people using a Nokia mobile device around the world. Driven by Internet and digital convergence, Nokia is expanding its offering to include areas such as entertainment, communities and location based services.
