No SLR status for oil bonds: Chidambaram

Finance Minister, P Chidambaram has said that high industrial growth will not put pressure on rates. Chidambaram informs that mining and power sectors have picked up sharply in July, reports CNBC-TV18.

According to him, there is ample liquidity in the banking system. The Finance Minister expects robust growth momentum to continue.

He further states that bonds will be issued to oil companies this month, but he clarified that they won't have SLR (Statutory Liquidity Ratio) status.
