New Horizons India Ltd. the fastest growing training and education brand in India, today announced the appointment of Mita Brahma as the Head of the newly conceived and set up business unit for education. The unit has been set up to provide world class innovative, effective and customized knowledge products and services for local markets globally. As Head of the Education Unit, Mita will drive the group by creating value by combining technology with innovative methods of doing business. Mita brings with her over twenty years of experience in the corporate world in the areas of human resources, banking and consulting.

Announcing the appointment Mr. Ajay K. Sharma, President and CEO, New Horizons, said "With the industry clearly at a crossroads as far as appropriately skilled and employable resources are concerned this Education Unit has been set up as a systematic campaign to replenish the much needed pool of talent in the country. Mita will bring to this division her extensive experience in education and talent development along with her critical understanding of the discourse of education."

The Education Unit has been set up to provide an engaging and smooth conduit  to tools of education for the discerning student who would like to align access to various components of a learning programme, to their own pace of learning. Mita, who has an MS and an MBA degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and has then worked in the area of assessment and education, brings with her the appropriate skills to drive this vital campaign. Mita has also had experience in designing and developing learning solutions, and providing career consulting. Reacting on her new role Mita said, "My role as the Head of Education Unit will help me bring together my core skills and experience in training and education to help facilitate New Horizons' goal of creating a self sustaining pool of industry ready talent. I am delighted to be part of a challenging and committed world of work at New Horizons."

Prior to joining New Horizons, Mita has worked with The State Bank of India , in retail, corporate and institutional banking. She has also worked with Nucleus Software Exports Ltd, as head Human Resources and recently with Grow Talent, a Strategic HR consulting company. Mita has also consulted independently with clients in the areas of Business Strategy, Organizational Structure and Team Effectiveness.
