NetXcell Ltd , the pioneers in providing Telecom Application Services, today announced opening of its operations by setting up its own center (Office) in Texas, USA. Mr. Dayakar Puskoor, Executive Chairman, NetXcell will be instrumental in establishing the operations in USA and will bring in strategic investors, driving partnerships and refining the business strategy.

 

This is the next move that company has made towards its foray into US market after signing MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Lifestyle Wireless Inc. a US based mobile content company in May this year. NetXcell has setup a data center in Texas to offer these VAS services to Mobile Operators and Media Houses in the US. They will be targeting to work with companies like ATT, VERIZON, SPRINT, T-MOBILE, NBC, ABC etc.

 

The US facility will focus more on designing global strategy, business development, technology evaluation & design, raising capital and investor relations. Although NetXcell will work on the same business model of revenue sharing, this facility will open opportunities for the company to improve profit margins and will support NetXcell's continued growth as VAS providers in USA usually command a higher revenue share of around 30-40 % unlike India where it is comparatively lesser.

 

Mr. Dayakar Puskoor, Executive Chairman of NetXcell said, "Expanding NetXcell's operation to US is another milestone in our vision for sustained growth and market expansion. NetXcell's decision to base its operations in USA was made after months of evaluating several destinations in world.  USA offers us several advantages to base our new facility in the region like exposure to the customer base and higher profit margins.

 

NetXcell is also expanding its advisory board with experts from the industry joining in. Recently two industry veterans, Mr. Gowri Shankar and Mr. Pankaj Asundi have joined Netxcell as business advisors (or advisors in business development). Mr. Gowri Shankar has focused on bringing new technologies to market and building multi-million dollar sales organizations. He is a founding member of the Sprint PCS launch team, where he led the creation of the first nationwide TeleSales and e-commerce distribution channels in the wireless industry. Mr.Pankaj Asundi is the Vice President Sales Media and Content for Ericsson Inc USA. He is responsible for driving sales, new business development and solution alignment towards new and existing customers strengthened focus on Media and Content Sales. His primary focus has been to establish content and media players as an additional customer base for Ericsson.
