NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR) today announced it has selected Pradeep Sen as its new managing director for the India Area, which comprises India, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Sen brings to NCR over 20 years of relevant experience in the information technology (IT) industry. Based in Mumbai, Sen will be responsible for the company’s growth under NCR’s new, more customer-centric structure. He will have total responsibility for the management of the India Area for all NCR businesses.
“Pradeep’s management experience with leading global technology companies will be of tremendous value as NCR pursues our strategy to increase customer focus and drive profitable growth in the existing financial and retail technology space while continuing to develop new businesses in travel and healthcare. We’re pleased to have someone of his caliber joining NCR to lead our business in India. We will also benefit from his experience on the regional leadership team at this important time in the company’s evolution,” said Louis Madeley, NCR vice president for South Asia Pacific.
Sen joins NCR from Datamatics Limited, where he served as an executive director steering the company to achieve business goals by re-engineering processes, creating energetic teams and introducing innovative strategies in line with the company’s vision. During his five years with Datamatics, Sen’s leadership contributed to professional management, with improved delivery and profitable growth. Within 15 months of his appointment, Sen was inducted to the board of the company for his significant achievements and innovative strategies.
“NCR is a well-recognized global company that has a bold vision, solid financials and a deep commitment to its customers,” Sen said. “It is a company known globally for its innovation and technological expertise throughout history. NCR solutions have changed the way businesses interact with consumers – and that’s true today, more than ever, with new self-service solutions such as airline check-in, retail self-checkout, healthcare, way-finding, e-commerce and mobile payment applications for a variety of industries. I’m pleased to join NCR at such an exciting time. NCR has made significant investments in India and has established a great business; I am delighted to have the opportunity to add value to our existing customer relationships and seek new opportunities in the self-service technology space.”
Prior to Datamatics, Sen worked with SAP India where he served as a senior director responsible for business growth and team management. Sen has also worked with such leading global companies as IBM, HCL Group, Eicher Goodearth Ltd. and Far East Computers Pte, Singapore across varied management levels. While at SAP and IBM, he earned several accolades for business leadership and creating high-performance teams.
