This green project activity would replace conventional energy equivalent to 356.83 Million Units and thereby reduce emission of Green House Gases (GHG) to the tune of 25, 32,400 ton CO2 over a 10-year project crediting period. In the absence of the project activity, the above energy would have been sourced from combustion of fossil fuels like coal, gas or oil resulting in equivalent GHG emissions.
MSPL's success would encourage other players to venture into this sector.
"We will be adding 50 MW of wind farm every year and reach 300 MW wind power by 2008," he said.
"MSPL is keen to endeavour to maintain its numero uno position in the field of renewable energy (wind energy) with number one position in India," Mr. Baldota added.
