MSN, the world's leading online destination, today announced the appointments of five new trade marketing executives during a tremendous year of dynamic growth and an expanding customer base in the Asia Pacific region. The new appointments mark the largest ever increase in MSN's trade marketing headcount in Asia.

 

"The online advertising industry continues to flourish and the growth that MSN is experiencing reflects that," said Gina Hertel, Regional Director of Marketing for Asia Pacific, Greater China, and Japan. "The investment in our trade marketing team demonstrates MSN's continued commitment to delivering the highest level of service and support to our customers.  We are thrilled that all our recent appointments reflect a continued strengthening of the wealth of experience and expertise that MSN customers have come to expect."

 

Key appointments include:

·      Celia Fan, Regional Media Analyst, MSN Greater Asia

In this newly created role, Celia Fan is responsible for the execution of Asia Pacific research studies that will provide the advertising sales team with essential and up-to-date information on audience, usage data and market segmentation. Fan joins MSN Asia with 10 years of research experience from companies such as AsiaWeek and Turner International Asia Pacific having worked closely with their advertising sales teams to develop research and presentation materials for CNN and its online properties.

 

·    Azmar Sukandar, Regional Trade PR Manager, MSN Greater Asia

Also in a newly created role, Azmar Sukandar will focus on enhancing MSN's pan-regional trade PR, developing a framework for communicating MSN's products and innovative offerings to advertisers and trade media across Asia, driving activities based on regional Trade Marketing initiatives and liaising with industry trade bodies. Before joining MSN, she was Senior Public Affairs Manager at TIME and FORTUNE Asia and worked in Malaysia and Indonesia with various online companies and a multinational PR agency on branding and corporate communications.

 

·      Johnny Wang - Trade Marketing Manager, MSN China

Johnny Wang joins MSN China with a well-rounded marketing and sales background based on a successful career of more than 13 years.  Prior to joining MSN, Wang worked with leading companies such as Baidu, SonyEricsson (China) and Kodak (China).  In his new post, Wang is responsible for integrated marketing communications and strategic marketing initiatives designed to engage media agencies and advertisers for the MSN China trade marketing organization.

 

·      Vineet Gupta - Trade Marketing Manager, MSN India

With an extensive background in television and radio marketing with companies including STAR TV, the leading cable and satellite channel in the country, and Radio City, India's first private radio station, Vineet Gupta joins MSN India as trade marketing manager.  At MSN India, Gupta will focus on developing MSN's presence in India, look at ways to leverage the dynamic and creative medium that is Online advertising for clients, and build strong relationships within the advertising community.

 

·      Amelia Zaina - Trade Marketing Manager, ninemsn Australia

As the new trade marketing manager at ninemsn Australia, Zaina is responsible for supporting the sales team in enhancing relationships with customers and agencies and growing ninemsn's trade marketing activities for the market.  Zaina brings to MSN more than five years of trade marketing experience from Austereo Group, Australia's largest broadcaster, where she spear headed a number of national branding and marketing campaigns.
