Morgan Stanley may invest $300 mn in Asian Infrastructure

Investment management firm Morgan Stanley is close to investing USD 200 million to USD 300 million in Asian Infrastructure Pte, the Economic Times reported on Tuesday, citing unnamed sources.

The Singapore-headquartered company is headed by former Indian power secretary RV Shahi, and mainly acquires and develops power assets in various countries including India, the newspaper said.

It said Morgan Stanley did not respond to its queries, while Shahi was quoted as saying: "We will let you know at the right time."

Morgan Stanley could not be immediately reached for comment.
