Microsoft Entertainment & Devices Division today announced the appointment of Redington India as the sole distribution partner in India, for Microsoft’s Games for Windows business in India. As PCs are the largest gaming platforms with 200mn gamers globally, Microsoft will leverage Redington’s 39 strong branch network for reaching out to resellers and other consumer touch points across top 100 cities in the country.
Elaborating on the partnership, Mohit Anand, Country Manager, Microsoft Entertainment and Devices Division, India said “We share a long-standing partnership with Redington in India as they have an excellent understanding of retailing lifestyle products and have also been the distributors of our Xbox 360. We are confident that together we will be able to reach out to the ever expanding space of gaming enthusiasts in India and provide our finest games of windows to them.”
Games for Windows include a wide range of block buster games like Age of Empires, Flight SimX, Halo 2 and covers many other exciting games of different genres.
“Microsoft has had a long commitment for its Games for Windows business in India, being the first and only publisher present in this space since 1999. It was because of our belief, passion and commitment to establish the gaming industry in India,” added Mohit.

As part of this effort we have partnered with Microsoft for Distribution of the Next-Gen XBox 360 products.
