Microsoft confers Gold Certification on Sonata Software
Microsoft has conferred Gold Certification on Sonata Software Limited for competency in Information Worker (IW) solutions, which include Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007. Microsoft has also approved Sonata for SharePoint Deployment Planning Services (SDPS). Microsoft’s Gold Certification reflects the highest level of partner certification, based on competency and track record. Sonata is already a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for competencies in Microsoft’s business application products, Microsoft Dynamics and Custom Development Solutions.
Sonata’s IW solutions competency is tailored to diverse areas of expertise that can help an organization capitalize on the opportunities around the Microsoft Office 2007 System, including Portals & Collaboration, Document Management, Business Intelligence, Search, etc.
Today, an increasing number of organizations prefer using MOSS to develop and deploy emerging concepts like Enterprise 2.0 and Social Networking. With this in view, Sonata has developed a Solution Accelerator Framework – SonnetPORTAL -- for MOSS adoption. SonnetPORTAL combines concepts such as Enterprise 2.0 and Social Networking, and has a significant number of pre-built add-ons, Web parts and components on MOSS, which significantly cut down the time and effort required for MOSS deployment.
SDPS, which is a pre-defined service offering delivered by Microsoft partners to plan an effective SharePoint deployment, comes as a software assurance benefit to customers. Sonata offers a fixed-scope, fixed-duration deployment service to customers as part of SDPS. Sonata already has to its credit the deployment of MOSS-based solutions for over 25 customers worldwide.
Commending Sonata’s efforts to broaden its service portfolio, Sanjay Manchanda, Director – Microsoft Business Division, Microsoft India, said, “Microsoft Partner Program is oriented towards providing better services to customers by recognizing the right partners in the industry, who can help them achieve the best solutions. Sonata, one of our esteemed partners, now becomes Gold Certified for IW solutions competency and approved for SDPS based on its impressive track record of helping companies adopt emerging technologies like MOSS across a wide range of industries and business functions.”
“Sonata’s re-usable assets such as SonnetPORTAL and its proven implementation methodology help customers seamlessly develop and deploy MOSS and leverage its powerful functionalities such as enterprise search, analytics capabilities, etc.,” said Raju PVSN, Vice President, Sonata Software.
