MakeMyTrip , India's leading Online Travel Agency now has the largest bus inventory in India with over 8,000 buses, 500 bus operators, and over 5000 routes across 14 states in the country. This inventory covers major regions of the country allowing consumers to book tickets for travel in South India (Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh), West India (Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa), North and Central India (Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh) and East India (West Bengal and Orissa).

Travelers across the country now have the convenience of accessing bus tickets online. MakeMyTrip offers customers the opportunity to book tickets for destinations across the largest network quickly, safely and with the option of selecting their seats. As a special offer, MakeMyTrip is also offering a 20% cash-back to travellers on all bus tickets booked on the website.

Speaking on this initiative, Rajnish Kapur, Chief Information Officer at MakeMyTrip said, "Till now, bus travellers had access to resources with limited scope to serve them since most offline operators are allocated only a specific quota of tickets. MakeMyTrip now offers them 24X7 access to a real-time system at their own convenience. Further, our large network of aggregators ensures that travellers can find tickets online that are unavailable offline.  We expect an enthusiastic response to our latest offering."

Rajneesh further added, "This convenience@-a-click will herald another revolution in the way middle class India travels. MakeMyTrip catalyzed the movement of flight booking business to online medium from the traditional offline domain. We are hopeful of pioneering a paradigm shift in this category as well."

Travelers can click on the bus ticket booking option on MakeMyTrip in order to feed in details regarding points and dates of departure and destination and seat-of-choice based on the seat map provided. Once booking details are confirmed, payment can be made either through a credit card, a debit card, cash card or an internet enabled online bank account. Bus tickets booked through MakeMyTrip are e-tickets which can be printed at the time of booking or can be emailed and printed at a later date.

MakeMyTrip will also now offer Luxury Volvo and even budget buses from Delhi to all hill stations and buses to Goa from Southern and Western parts of India.
