The Logan has overaken the Sx4! Mahindra-Renault has sold 8,400 units during the fourth quarter while the Sx4 sales were only at about 6000 units during the same period.
Honda City still is way ahead in the race. It clocked sales of 14,000 units. The CNG and LPG versions of Logan will be launched in two months. Mahindra-Renault plans to extend the Logan party with wider dealership network, newer versions, and more sales conversions through customer recommendations. The new versions will cost Rs 45,000-50,000 more as compared to a petrol version.
Nalin Mehta, COO, Mahindra Renault India, said, “Mahindra-Renault now has 94 dealers spread across 75 cities in the country and by January 2009, it plans to have 150 dealers. Currently, Logan is manufactured at the Nasik plant. Logan will also be exported to Nepal, Bhutan, Mauritius and South Africa. Exports to some of these nations will begin in the next 9 months.
