India's first wide body car Logan from Mahindra Renault has received resounding response from customers in the 11 cities that the car has been launched so far. The Logan has sold 2786 unites in May.

The response from across the country is in line with the product's class defying strengths in terms of space, safety and engine performance. Mr. Rajesh Jejurikar, MD, Mahindra Renault, said, "Logan has delivered much beyond our expectations. Mahindra Renault's car has a great showing of 2786 numbers in the first month of sales. This is significant considering that we are currently only in 40% of the markets. We expect numbers to go up significantly as production and regional launches are ramped up over the next couple of months."

The Logan made its debut on April 3, 2007 with a host of class-defying features at an aggressive price. Bookings opened in dealerships across Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Nashik, Delhi - NCR, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Ludhiana and Jalandhar, and deliveries started in the first week of May
