Madhucon finishes building phase-I of Simhapuri power plant

Madhucon Infra, a unit of Madhucon Projects , has completed the construction of 300 mega watt phase-I of 1,920mw Simhapuri thermal power project near Nellore.

The company said it is now heading towards synchronization of the phase-I.

The second phase of the power project, also 300mw, is scheduled to be commissioned by August 2012, Madhucon said on Monday.

The company said it has also applied for the clearance of the third phase of 1,320mw and it hopes to start commissioning activities by the third or fourth quarter of next year.

Madhucon Projects were up 0.8% at Rs 58 on NSE in late afternoon trade.
