L&T gets Rs 9.77 bn defence order

India's top engineering and construction firm, Larsen & Toubro , said on Monday it had won an order worth Rs  9.77 billion (USD 215 million) for the design and construction of 36 high speed interceptor boats.

The order has been placed by India's defence ministry.
