Rediff.com India Limited (Nasdaq: REDF), one of the leading worldwide online providers of news, information, communication, entertainment and shopping services,  announced the launch of Rediff FareSearch , a travel search tool, that helps users search and compare the lowest airfares across all domestic airlines, displaying results on the same page. This saves users precious time and money. Rediff FareSearch is powered by proprietary technology and is available on the Rediff.com website ( www.rediff.com ). It can also be accessed on GPRS enabled mobile phones by logging on to http://mobile.rediff.com , a first of its kind service in India.

Manish Agarwal, Vice President Marketing, Rediff.com said "In the last few months there has been a lot of action in India in the online travel services space. Internet users are often unsure whether they get the best deal available, when they check airline websites. Rediff.com research team has enabled Rediff FareSearch with latest technologies, which do a comprehensive search across all travel/airline/auction websites, and show results in a user friendly manner, which gives users a complete picture. We have also enabled anytime anywhere access for Rediff FareSearch by making it accessible on GPRS enabled mobile phones. "

Rediff FareSearch provides users the total fare inclusive of taxes and not just the base fare (which is what most other websites provide), thus helping users to make a more informed decision. One of the most innovative features of Rediff FareSearch is that users have an option to see a graph which charts out the lowest unbiased price points upto 90 days. This enables them to plan their itinerary better, based on lowest available price points.

As per a study done by Com Score Media Matrix (US based independent research agency) August 2006, activities related to travel are one of the fastest growing services on net and growing air traffic in India is fuelling the same.
