Here is a verbatim transcript of the exclusive interview with HS Goindi on CNBC-TV18. Also watch the accompanying video. Q: Can you take us through the February numbers first and give us a break up of where the growth came from? A: The growth came from all the segments, mopeds, motorcycle and scooters. Also in the domestic and exports, the market has been doing fairly well, as far as the two-wheeler industry is concerned. There were some expectations of the excise duty increase so that also helped. The stock level in the market is not very high and we did get some extra sales due to the new product of Jive also. Q: Can you break up roughly that 63,500 number for motorcycles? A: The two main components were Star, which is the entry level bike, about 27,000 numbers and Apache which is about 13,000 numbers and about 6,000 numbers for Jive. Q: Is 6,000 for Jive in line with your expectations and where do you expect it to stabilise because it is early days now? A: We expect to stabilise that around 20,000 numbers in the next three-four months time, the billing and the retail. After that we need to further increase the capacity there marginally and balancing equipments and then take it further as to how the market reacts. Right now the reaction is very positive, we have launched it only in a few states and by end of March or beginning of April we will launch it allover India. So the reaction has been positive, hopefully it should stabilise above 20,000 numbers. Q: You expect the scooter's run-rate to be around the current 27,000-28,000 monthly? A: No, it should increase with the launch of Wego which will happen in this month, last month we put Wego only in a small number as scooters in a few areas, this month we will be selling more numbers. So the overall run-rate for scooters, which includes our scooty brand and the Wego brand, should be much higher than 27,000 in the next three-four months time.
