Kingston Technology , the world leader in memory products, has announced that it is the official memory partner of The World Cyber Games (WCG) tournament, a massive global gaming event. The World Cyber Games (WCG), a rapidly growing international event on the scale of the Olympics, has gained immense popularity since its origin in the year 2000 to become the largest cyber-gaming event today with nearly one million players competing against one another for the title of world champion. The WCG is held annually and holds the unique distinction of being the only single cyber game competition encompassing six continents. This year around 70 countries worldwide will compete in this global event, which adopts the same Host City concept as the Olympic Games. Organised by Indiagames, the Indian Leg of WCG is being held on August 18-19' 2007 in Kolkata and will comprise of 5 city preliminaries and subsequently the quarterfinals to be held in Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore and Mumbai till September 10 '2007 culminating in a national final event - The WCG 2007 Grand Final which will be held in Seattle from October 3rd to 7th, 2007 at Qwest Field.
