Jindal Steel unit to set up 1,600 MW power plant

Jindal Steel & Power said on Tuesday its unit Jindal Power will be setting up a 1,600 MW hydro power plant on the tributary of Subansiri river in the north-eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh.

Jindal Power has also received a survey license to set up 220 MW hydro electricity generation project in Nepal, it said in a statement.
