Jet Airways, India's premier airline, today announced the cancellation of all its flights operating to and from Kolkata on account of the Kolkata bandh on December 14, 2006.

 

The airline operates as many as 36 flights in and out of Kolkata daily.

 

Consequently, Flight 9W 602 scheduled to operate on Delhi - Bagdogra - Delhi has been rescheduled and will now operate only on the Delhi - Jorhat - Guwahati - Delhi sector on December 14, 2006. The flight will depart Delhi at 1010 hours and arrive Jorhat at 1235 hours. The flight will then depart Jorhat at 1315 hours and arrive Guwahati 1405 hours. On the return leg, 9W 602 will depart Guwahati at 1445 hours and arrive Delhi at 1715 hours.

 

On December 15, Flight 9W 629/630, operating on the Kolkata - Port Blair - Kolkata sector has been rescheduled for a delayed departure by an hour and will now depart Kolkata at 0500 hours, arriving Port Blair at 0700 hours. On the return leg, 9W 630 will depart Port Blair at 0730 hours and arrive Kolkata at 0935 hours.

 

Jet Airways will operate an additional Boeing 737-700 flight on December 15 to Agartala. Flight 9W 619 will depart Kolkata at 1900 hours and arrive Agartala at 2005 hours. On return, 9W 620 will depart Agartala at 2035 hours and arrive Kolkata at 2130 hours.
