Is Tata Motors, Cerberus Capital tying-up for Jaguar?

Is Tata Motors set to join hands with a private equity firm to buy Jaguar and Land Rover ? There's a buzz that Tata Motors and Cerberus Capital may join hands to buy the British brands, reports CNBC-TV18.

 

Tata Motors' interest is more towards Land Rover. The partnership may be done to spin off Jaguar later. When contacted, Cerberus Capital said that it would not like to comment on market speculation or rumour while Tata Motors said it does not comment on any M&A activity.
